Giving Back
The Erie Community has been a great place to grow up, to live and to work. Since Erie has given me so much – It is my turn to give back.
I serve a few organizations and focus on at least one local charity.
Imagination Library – Books for Kids
When kids are read to, they learn to read earlier and easier, which provides a boost toward successful education. Imagination Library mails a new book month right to a child (in their own name) from 0 to 5 years old. Any child in Erie county qualifies – the parent just has to register. At each closing, I will sponsor a child to get a book each month for a year through Imagination Library.

Preservation Erie
Erie and Northwest Pennsylvania is rich with treasured structures,
beautiful architecture and a cultural heritage that is worth preserving. Preservation Erie’s mission is to promote, preserve, and enhance the distinctive character of greater Erie through community based planning, design, and historic preservation. I serve on the board of Preservation Erie.
Erie Together
Erie Together is a movement of hundreds of local individuals, organization and businesses working together to prevent and reduce poverty, elevate prosperity, and make the Erie region a community of opportunity where everyone can learn, work and thrive. I work on the focus of Individual and Family Stability.
Other action teams are: Early childhood and readiness, Education and Workforce Development.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. They believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities. I serve as a budget coach to families as a part of the homeownership process. Financial education builds a more solid foundation for long-term personal success and helps alleviate concerns or barriers on the path to homeownership. I enjoy working directly with these families who are on a path to being homeowners.
